Apply for Federal and State Financial Aid
Apply for Federal and State financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our school code is 001636. The Financial Aid and Student Employment Office at Southwestern Illinois College has a supply of these applications, as do high school guidance counselors. For the fastest response, complete the FAFSA online.
Complete Loan Entrance Counseling and Federal Stafford Loan MPN
Students who have been offered a Federal Stafford loan, and who are first-time borrowers at SWIC, must complete Loan Entrance Counseling at http://mappingyourfuture.org/se before their loans can be processed. To select a lender, and complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN) for that lender, go to choose your lender and click on Apply Now. Finally, log into your Student Center in eSTORM and indicate that you want to accept or reduce your loan, and indicate the lender that you selected.
