Enrollment Steps and Orientation

  1. Search the class schedules and fill out a New Student Information Form online at estorm.swic.edu. Download the college catalog and request a campus tour.
  2. Contact Financial Aid and Student Employment for a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for loans, grants, scholarships or campus employment.
  3. Have high school and/or previous college transcripts sent to the Belleville Campus Enrollment Services Office, IS Room 1050.
  4. Contact the Counseling Center:
    • Participate in MISSION SUCCESS (welcome/college information session, assessment for course placement and an individual counseling session). Required for all degree-seeking students.
    • For an individual appointment for academic, career and personal assistance (for those not required to participate in MISSION SUCCESS).
    • To make an appointment, call: Belleville Campus, ext. 5206; Sam Wolf Granite City Campus, ext. 6633; or Red Bud Campus, ext. 8114.
  5. Participate in SWIC Know Orientation.
  6. Register in person at any of the three campuses, Scott Air Force Base, East St. Louis Community College Center

    Current students may register online at eSTORM.swic.edu
  7. Contact the Business Office to pay tuition and fees or to make payment arrangements. Call ext. 5367.
  8. Purchase textbooks: Have your final schedule with you when you go to the bookstore to buy textbooks.
  9. Contact Public Safety to get your free Parking Sticker (required) and your optional Student ID/MetroLink Pass.
  10. Attend Spring 2009 Semester classes starting Saturday, Jan. 17.
    • Keep your schedule with you during the first week of classes to remind you of class times and room numbers.
